Early Services, Inc. Training
Each new hire goes through a safety orientation that includes viewing a safety video, reading and completing an employee policy / handbook and being issued personal protective equipment (PPE). Each employee is trained in the safe and proper use of PPE, hazard communication, fall protection rules, ladder safety, the safe use of power tools and basic jobsite electrical safety. Employees are also trained to operate boom and scissor lifts.
Each supervisor is trained to operate a forklift, has the OSHA 30 hour certification and is certified in CPR / First Aid. Some supervisors have had confined space entry training as well. Most training is done in house by our safety director, while some training is conducted at the Tennessee Valley Training Center (TVTC). Recently, many of our employees attended fall protection, excavation and scaffolding training sponsored by Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC).
A toolbox topic is discussed each week during a safety meeting that is conducted at each jobsite. During the meeting, a material safety data sheet (MSDS) is discussed as well.
Drug and Alcohol Program:
All employees are drug screened prior to employment and randomly tested.
